A Memorandum of Understanding Signing Ceremony (MOU) between Walailak University and Museum Siam
Mr. Rames Phromyen said that Thailand has a large number of museums scattered throughout the country, which lack good management standards which turning the museum into a collection of antiques. For this reason, the government made the question that how do museums respond to the will of a museum? to play a role in being a source of learning for people in society and a process for knowledge management in the museum that is in line with the needs of the target group which has different and diverse interests in each age range. The museum had to change some of its image to show that museums are the answer to learning. It is a place to create pride for people in society, and is a place which is the stability of the local culture and society. Walailak University is interested in developing a museum that will meet the needs of local people to considered a good sign to use the museum as a tool to transfer knowledge to the people, This corresponds to the role of Museum Siam in persuading or pulling various network partners to come together to develop our country through the museum together. This is a good starting point for cooperation in establishing a museum in the South of Thailand. Walailak University is an important core of the southern region that will allow people and youth in the southern region to have the opportunity to access knowledge. We hope that this museum will continue to be a new learning space for Thai society and Asia.
