On October 12, 2024, Mr.Teerachai Chemnasiri, Chairman of the Walailak University Council, presided over the 9th meeting of the Walailak University Council for the year 2024. The meeting took place at the Naiyawipas Chamber, Walailak University Bangkok Office, and was also conducted via Zoom Cloud Meetings from the Chopradu Chamber, Chulabhorn Wechawat Building, Walailak University Hospital, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province.

On this occasion, the University Council Chairman, on behalf of the council, presented a bouquet of flowers to congratulate Prof.Dr.Sombat Thamrongthanyawong on his reappointment as the President of Walailak University. His second term officially began on June 30, 2024, as per the royal appointment decree announced on September 30, 2024, by the Prime Minister’s Office. The event was attended by distinguished council members, university executives, and staff who joined in extending their congratulations.
